Maker question: should we prioritize private circles or topic-based advice?

This is a question from the maker of Should I Wait?. We're testing a small community for real-life decisions, across shopping, work, relationships and everyday life. Before adding features, we'd like to understand whether you'd rather ask people you already know or people with experience in the same topic. Please share a recent example if you have one.
